httpd.conf question

On my system I have apache installed; but I can’t find the httpd.conf instead the only file that comes close to that file is httpd2.conf.

q. is the httpd2.conf same as httpd.conf? if not where is the httpd.conf disappear to. It is a brand new installation!!

Thanks
Auto

automicro,

remember, google is your friend! I made a search for you with it, and it seems that apache2-2.0.47-1.7.2 (check if that's the version you are using) comes with hhpd2.conf instead with httpd.conf. Here's the page I found (and it was shown using the "I'm feeling lucky" button ):
