html?? XFS?? XFRee? Browsers? serious problem

Hello everyone,

I'm kind of stuck here.
I installed slackware 9.0 ono my laptop and seem to experience the following problem:
On certain sites (e.g.]) I have very big fonts. E.g. after doing a search all the items found are regulat size, but the below the 12345 are very big compare 12 px with 52 px. At first I thought it was simply a mozilla problem, so I tried firebird. Guess what? Same problem. First thing I tried was reinstalling both browsers and using opera. No help. After that I started to reinstall XFree. No help. Reconfiged my XFconfig to NOT using fbdev. Still no help. recompiled the kernel 2.6 no help (though it runs great on my desktop. I was starting to getting used to it, when after installing gkrellm I noticed that the fonts also sucked in it. Way to small (3px maybe?) All the problems seem to have the same origin, but I don't seem to figure out what. I tried using the xfs , no help. What did I oversee? All help welcome. Gkrellm is gtk based.
