HP Deskjet 5550 With IPP?

I have been trying to get this to work for quite some time now. I would like to be able to get any computer on my network to print to the HP Deskjet 5550 attached to my linux box (lagbox) using IPP with no drivers. This would allow the various computer gurus who help my brother with programming to set up the printer with no hassles. So far I have used HPLIP to install the printer in cups. It is there, I have checked. How do I get it shared using IPP?

EDIT: I believe I am right in thinking that CUPS shares it in IPP when it is set up. However, when I navigate to the cups admin interface (http://192.168.1.170:631), it says it is forbidden. How do I allow access?

Well, it appears as though I have to edit one of the config files to get this to work, but which one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just got it working, for those who have this problem,
A. You have to use drivers. This is probably why I got no replies.
B. You have to change the Location directive in cupsd.conf so that its not just localhost that can access the server.
