Question howto use video card memory as RAM?

can i use any of the video card memory as RAM??

Do a google. I've seen a project somewhere about video ram as a ram disk or something... Wasn't that hard as I remember, but it wasn't really useable as system ram.

What sort of video card? I have about 250meg doing nothing most of the time. But it's there for doom3

I think I still have a couple of those somewhere running in the older boxes.
