HOWTO play *.rm files

a just downloaded a couple of seasions of southpark on real player files (*.rm) but neither of my players (mplayer, totem, xine yes i know that al except mplayer sucks) so which is the best way to be able to play em....i heard about noha but i cant find anywhere to download it....also i heard about codecs for mplayer but i aint sure howtom install em....

mplayer will be fine with the realplayer codecs installed - the install guide is here:

There's also a linux real player.
I find it does the job.

ok now i downloded the file and i am trying to install it

[root@h68n2fls309o291 rickard]# chmod u+x rp8_linux_powerpc_cs1.bin
[root@h68n2fls309o291 rickard]# ./rp8_linux_powerpc_cs1.bin
-bash: ./rp8_linux_powerpc_cs1.bin: cannot execute binary file

whats wrong?

You could get by without installing any programs if you get the "rp9codecs" from
They don't need to be installed, just extract the tarball somewhere (your home directory is fine), open xine and access the configuration. Click the "codec" tab and there will be a dialog box to enter the path to the realplayer codecs. (/home/yourhome/rp9codecs)
Now you can "open with" or associate the file type in whatever way your gui does such a thing.
