how to view the .wine directory in linux

Hi there guys

I have installed wine and installed some programes succesfully, the problem is that I wanted to investigate my Program Files folder because thats where my program is. I could access the file through the command line shell. But the wine directory starts with a "." .wine . What does this "dot" notation mean.
And I can not see the wine directory in my home directory although I can access it through the command line shell.
How can I make it visible.?

. in front of a file makes it hidden. To view it graphically you'll have to find the option for "show all files" or "show hidden files" or "view hidden files" or similar. Exactly where that is depends on the file manager you're using.
