How to view the Captured Image from webcam using C?


Hi everyone,

I want develop an application using webcam.
I want to capture the video from webcam and i want to dispay the video.
can anybody suggest me how to do that thing using C lanuguage

Look at video4linux, which is the standard in linux to handle video capture.

same code only i copied and executed, it is capturing fro the webcam.
but i want to display the image.how to do that one

There are plenty of programs that can do that, and several libraries that are dedicated to image display and processing (i.e. imlib, imagemagick...) plus all the toolkits will also have many ways to display images (fltk, gtk+, qt...). If what you want is to display the video there are also several programs and libs for that, sdl can do about everything having to do with sound, video, image, opengl...

I reffered sdl also, while compiling i am getting error

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lSDLmain
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

please do you have any source code
