How to use rpcgen on linux platform

hi all,

i want to implement one RPC (remote procedure call) client on LINUX platform . i created one RPC specification file ( .x) , compiled it using rpcgen protocol compiler. It created a .h file, client stub and server stub.. it DID'NT produce the XDR file.

when i compile the same .x file on sunos it produces all the files.. I need this XDR file for the RPC client as the RPC server is using it..

Is their any way to produce the xdr files on linux platform..

urgent help needed...
