How to use Procmail to deliver spam to different mailbox?

Hi all,

I've setup Postfix to hand over incoming e-mails to Procmail by setting 'mailbox_command = /usr/bin/procmail' in /etc/postfix/main.cf.

I've created /etc/procmailrc which pipes the message through Spamassassin. If the message is considered spam, Spamassassin modifies the subject.

After this, the problem arises: If the subject is modified, I want Procmail to deliver the message to a mailbox called 'spam'. Procmail automatically runs as the users for which the mail was originally intended. This user can't write to /var/mail/spam because that's set to 600 and the original user has no write access.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do so Procmail *can* deliver to /var/mail/spam?

Thanks,

Maarten

Thank you for your reply, but that's not really what I've ment. I've already configured the things that are described there. Problem is that Procmail can't deliver spam to the Spam folder because Procmail doesn't have the rights to write to that file (since it's owned by 'spam' and Procmail runs as another user - the user for which the original e-mail was intended). This problem isn't discussed in those tutorials.

Any other ideas?

Cheers,

Maarten
