How to use icecast for streaming audio?

Hello gurus,

I just downloaded icecast and was about setup my mp3 stream but I ran into a problem. I don't know how to actually tell icecast what to stream.

Does anybody know what to do if I want to stream an mp3/m3u from, say, /home/music ?

Any help greatly appreciated..

You need something to actually send something to the icecast server to broadcast.
Have a look at under 3rd party apps.
