How to use Bit Torrent in Red Hat???

OK, I have read hundreds of posts! ...I am using redhat 9 because both my xp disc and my fedora core 4 discs are broken and wont install!

I have downloaded the bittorrent RPM file and installed it! ...all i want to do now is use it to download a torrent file for the a distribution of the debian linux.

here.... this may help, proves the package is definatley installed, but I dont know how to use it!!!!

[root@localhost root]# rpm -ivh bittorrent-3.4.2-1.0.rh9.rf.noarch.rpm
warning: bittorrent-3.4.2-1.0.rh9.rf.noarch.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
package bittorrent-3.4.2-1.0.rh9.rf is already installed

thanks for help! Matt!!! (i really want to get on and do some uni coursework so its really urgent because Redhat has really old glibc and its no good for what i want to do! (but at least i can try to use it to get the newer versions of linux!)

Use btdownloadcurses url - for the FC5 i386 CD ISOs for example: -

btdownloadcurses http://torrent.fedoraproject.org/tor...y-i386.torrent

See man man bittorrent-downloader.bittorrent for more information.

Sometimes there is also a bittorrent-gui package that needs to be installed if you want a GUI.

azureus works wonders as a gui bittorrent client. You should really check it out if you are interested in gui at all. I personally use bittornado since I am running it on my server that does not have X installed.

Download and install bittorent from:

http://www.bittorrent.com/download.myt

When you have run the program, all you have to do is
to find proper bittorent file. Download it and then open bittorrent file in bittorrent. That's all.
