how to update entries that has been changed in a configuration files

Hi all,

I think this is a really stupid questions....but I jsut couldn't figure our how to solve it...sorry people..

I have installed squidguard and I was trying to modify the original squidguard.conf configuration file that came with the installation.

I used vim squidguard.conf to open the configuration file, then I deleted the entries that I wanted to change and typed my own.
After finishing with all the alteration, what should I do to make my changes take effect?
There is no "save" menu that allows me to save the modification.

In Vim, hit escape and type :w to save the .conf file, and then :q to exit (In case you didn't know)
To make the changes take effect, either reboot the computer or restart squidguard.
