How to uninstall hylafax?

Hello

I have slackware 12
From source I installed hylafax and can not seem to remove it.

I tried make uninstall in the hylafax directory
rpm -e hylafax

It does not show on kpackage or gslapt

how do I get rid of the program. Delete the file?

I found nothing in the man pages or on the hylafax web site.

I googled "uninstall hylafax" but most sites are for rpm. However, I installed through make, make install

Help would be much appreciated.

Manual delete looks like the only way for a compiled install.

"You have to uninstall it the hard way, unfortunately."

Thanks for the info !
Since I am pretty new to linux I deleted hylafax from the following locations:

/var/spool/hylafax
/usr/local/sbin/fax*,
/usr/local/lib/fax/

I am not sure else to delete other then where I untared it.
I also blacklisted haylafax. /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
I do not know if that does any good.

here is what you could to do a complete uninstall.

- run make and make install again and catch the output of 'make install' (make install &> uinfo.txt)
- make a package with checkinstall and open that in kpackage. Kpackage shows you the list of files contained by the package and were it will copy them. This is more eyefriendly than the output of 'make install' but has some glitches. Checkinstall will sometimes include shared files in the package, which are used by other applications as well.

What I'd do is check every file of the checkinstall package and then verify that it's really made from the hylafax compile by looking into the 'make install' output and the install directory (which contains the binaries). After verifying, delete the file.

Seems a bit overboard and will keep you busy for a while, but still better than breaking something.

Currently there are bugs with checkinstall with slackware 12.
