How to turn off new windows when clicking on a directory in the GUI

This is *really* irritating in Fedora. When I click on a directory, it opens the contents *in a new window*. How do I get it to open in the same one?

Thanks.

Which "Fedora" ?
Which GUI, and which filemanager ?
If KDE3 and konqueror: konqueror -Settings - Behaviour: Don't open Directories in seaparate windows.
Apply.
OK.

For Nautilus, Gnome's file manager (the default for Fedora), click on Edit — Preferences. Then choose the tab Behaviour and select the option "Always open in browser windows".
