How to switch an application from one desktop to another using command line

Hello. I am working on a script that loads an application at startup, and switches it from Desktop1 to Desktop2 (or directly makes it appear in Desktop2).

I know how to load it. But I don't know how to do the "switching" part.

Is there any way to do this using the command line, so I can add it to my startup script?

Thanks

Which gui are you working with?
If KDE this may be a start. http://www-128.ibm.com/developerwork...kdeml01KDEDCOP
There are some commands in kde used to start apps that you can apply options to but I cannot off the top of my head remember.
