how to start Adobe reader
 
I have installed the Adobe Reader 5.0 for linux,but I don't know how to start it under command model.

I used xpdf or xpdf pdbfile.

you probably sorted out your problem since but it's worth a try.

Well if you are using a wm, you could add the application to the menu. That could be done from a control center depending on the distro/wm. Otherwise just open a shell enter:

acroread [path]
<enter>
