How to solve "Couldn't find package compiz-fusion"


i tried to make my desktop 3d so i type in terminal following command
sudo apt-get install compiz-fusion

but it give the error "Couldn't find package compiz-fusion" why dis error comes plz tell me how to solve it
i am a new user for ubuntu
How to install the required package Please tell me exextly what i have to it

I guess, you can't get "Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic" without "compiz-...",
it is installed by default, as a part of GNOME.
My Ubuntu's work with "compiz", nothing is to be done when a
suitable "graphics hardware" is present.
