How to show Access Log via the putty ?


i have recently installed ubuntu and now want to check access log in putty so anyone can help me out how to do so?

If you are using a recent version of Ubuntu, it is afflicted with systemd so the main system log files would be accessible via journalctl. In that case you can use -u to specify the systemd unit which is "ssh" and not "sshd" to se a list of recorded activities related to sshd:

sudo journalctl -u ssh

sudo journalctl -u ssh | more

sudo journalctl -u ssh | grep user | more

If you can get access to the Ubuntu install using putty, then run 'last' after logging in.
