how to setup permissions to k3b

Hi, I use debian etch, recently i installed k3b, when I load this app with my "common user" k3b gives me a message telling me that k3b hasnīt enough permission to use cdao and other thing that I donīt remember, and it gives me the advice to run it in root mode or use "k3bsetup" or something like that, but when I use k3bsetup i donīt find a way to put my "common user" in the list of full control users. So, my question is:

How can I put my "common user" in the group of privileged user? what group is this? is this "burning"?

thanks

Usually for issues like this, i.e. permissions issues when trying to burn stuff, you would make your user account a mamber of the CDROM group. Also, if you have a mount-point for the CD player device, it should also be of the group CDROM, and also the /dev node associated with the device (like /dev/hdc or whatever).
This may solve your problem. To do this, either CHGRP the necessary items, or use your file-browser as root and right click the item --> properties --> permissions.

NOTE -- **Usually** the group is called CDROM. It may have another name sometimes.
