how to setup in mozilla to use real player

Yes, i am trying to setup mozilla to use real player instead of its default. I copied the real player file into a folder but does not work when i go to play an mpg file, WHY? I also downloaded and installed windows media player 6.4, installed but mozilla will not play an mpg file when on the internet.

Did you set RealPlayer up as a stand alone app or as a plugin? If you click Help-->About Plugins in Mozilla you can follow links to both find out what you have and install new ones.

I would also suggest you get hold of mozplugger or plugger - a search on www.google.com/linux will get you the files.
