How to set up sendmail to require user authentication via SSL

Hi,

I am trying to set up sendmail to use SSL and require user authentication. I have not been able to find clear instruction on how to do that. Could anyone give me a pointer or tell me what exact keyword I should search?

Thanks

Thanks, TB0ne. I did some search myself but was very confusing.

There appears to be a few options. Is STARTTLS the way to go?

I am still confused about how to configure to require SMTP client to authenticate themselves with password. Apparently, I can't require all client to authenticate b/w then I can't receive emails from outside. Any pointers on that one?

Thanks
