How to set PATH variable for command tracert?

How do I set the PATH variable for the command tracert so that I can run the command by typing tracert instead of typing /usr/sbin/tracert. Also how do I set the $PATH variable to include /usr/sbin and /sbin.

Thanks in advance.

Set path to execute file from any where.

go to prompt and write this:

PATH=$PATH:<your file path>
export PATH

for example:
if you want to run bpelc.sh file that is in /opt/bea/OraBPELPM/bin directory then set path like..

PATH=$PATH:/opt/bea/OraBPELPM/bin
export PATH

it will work.....

That will only work whilst you stay logged in. To make the change permanent, edit your (hidden) file .bash_profile PATH var as described above..
