how to run tvtime

I am new to Linux 36hrs old, I am running a 800hz with 512 memory, I have a PCI card from wintv, It works with xawtv, I downloaded and uncompressed tvtime, I configured it, but I can not make install or start the software, I tried gnome and KDE

Can any help me? Thank you

You probably don't need to do all that. tvtime is pretty popular, and most distros have precompiled binaries for it.
However, if you don't have binaries for it, you need to provide more info for us to help you. What distro are you using? Did you just do a ./configure, or did you add some flags? What output are you getting when you try to make? In particular, if, you can't make install, there was probably an error in make; look for it. What does it say?
