How to run fluxbox?

i installed last fluxbox version, but i don know how to run it...i tried .xinitrc (exec /usr/local/bin) and .xsession (same). Following sourceforge.net instructions...but "switchdesk" just show KDE, Gnome and TVm, nothing else. And Satrtx -- :1 does't work....what's missing for running it??..

What's in you .xinitrc and what error messages do you get when X won't work.

all you should need to type in your .xinitrc file is :
exec fluxbox
then when you restart X it should fire up flux....if it doesn't, tell us what it is doing?

i have the same problem it says something like, it couldn't start fluxbox, and i should check if something is in /usr/X11/bin i'll just get back here when i got the REAL error message. Oh yeah i'm a n00b. I used fluxbox on freebsd and it is great so i want it for slackware to.
