How to run "evolution --force-shutdown" from a script without an x session"

I am running Debian-lenny (test) I am attempting to use Bacula to backup my workstation and it allows you to run a script before beginning the backup job. I wanted to run "evolution --force-shutdown" before backing up evolution. When I add it to the job, I receive an error "cannot open display". It appears that evolution wants to open an X display and a GTK+ X Screen. If I enter "evolution --help-all", I see where there are options for the X display and X screen. Is there anyway to call evolution from the Bacula script prior to running the backup?
