how to run c program in suse 9.1

hi,

I am a newbie to linux.

I have installed suse 9.1

I had written the c program new.c

#include<stdio.h>
void main()
{
printf("\nHello world");
}

and I gave "cc new.c"
it is given with ---command not found.

So any one show me how to run this program.

Is any software is needed to install...

does 'gcc new.c' work? i imagine it would.. if not check your package manager (YaST in SuSE?) for development/programming tools.
