Question How to rsync across LAN

I'd like to set up a centralized backup using rsync on the backup machine to backup 4 client machine. The backup machine will have two 2TB SSD's to hold backup data and is connected to a UPS. All the client machines are laptops that are never turned off. I think that setting up NFS is needed, but not sure.

I'd appreciate any guidance you can provide.

Start with man rsync Anything we could tell you is already in that document. Yes, it is kinda overwhelming, but it is also comprehensive. Everything you need to know about how to use rsync is there.
We're happy to help if you run into problems.
