how to rotate the video output by -90 degrees?


hi
I need to view the video output in a very different way, the video needs to be rotated by -90 degrees, is there a way to do it?
I have a TRident Blade 3D graphic card installed on RH 9 , Kernel 2.4.22-8

You should be able to add a line to your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 in the "Device" section that says something like:

Option "Rotate"

Not sure about this though; haven't tried it. Try googling around and see if you can find some more info.

why i can't see this xf86config-4 file? all i can see is xf86config and xf86config.backup

Ah, yes that should be the one then. That's the configuration file for older versions of XFree86; the one with the "4" on the end is for XFree86 >= 4.0, which I just assumed you had.
