How to retrieve forgotten root password?
Dears,,
I installed Oracle database on Linux I can only log in to Linux server by database user But I forgot the root password and cannot log in by root. Please,how to retrieve root password? Please,help me ASAP. Thanks & Regards,, |

Hi,
Does the given link work on none redhat based distro's? Some sane ( :) ) distro's do require a (root) password when booting into single user mode (debian, sles, lfs, ....). A live CD comes to mind in this case. |
