How to reset state of printer in CUPS?

CentOS 6
Brother HL5170DN network attached printer

I accidentally started to send a print job to this printer rather than my color printer. I pressed the "Cancel" button on the printer but not for long enough. It appeared that the job was being processed by the printer. I then powered off the printer and canceled the print job in cups.

The next time I attempted to print to the Brother printer the job showed as "Pending." In the Printer Properties window I see the Printer State shown as
Quote:
Stopped = Print file sent, waiting for printer to finish...
The question is... how do I convince Cups that the printer is again ready to accept jobs. I can print to the printer from other other computers on the network. I have restarted the Cups service but to no success.

TIA,

Ken

You can start/stop the queue via the printers maintenance menu in cups (localhost:631/printers). There is also the command line utility cupsenable.

Thanks michaelk. I found that the issue even survived a system restart. I deleted and recreated the print queue and that solved the problem. I have a bookmark to the Cups web interface for the next time.
