How to Remove Compiled Kernel

hi!

after i added packages to my installed RedHat Linux 8.0 from its CDs,
now when i run my pc, the boot loader added two entries to choose from Linux smp and Linux ... (i only could choose between windows and DOS previously)
i was told by my friend that the new entries are another compilation of linux added.

if that is true, how can i remove any compilation of the linux kernel?

thank you for your time.

Remove the entry from either grub.conf or lilo.conf and you can also remove the correct kernel vmlinuz image from your system as well, etc.
