How to provide Keymaps support in a basic linux system in a simple way


I have configured basic system with kernel,busybox,X and icewm window manager.
Now I want provide keymaps support for that what is the simple way.
where can i find related packages.

I googled for this a lot i have confused among setxkbmap,xkbcomp, xmodmap and loadkeys etc... which will be better and simple.
