how to play mp3 and video file in REDHAT 9
 

i am having this problem when i wanna play mp3, where upon opening a mp3 files the OS hangs and i cannot play other sound file like ogg vorbis. I can only play wave files other than that i cant.I want to know how to play video files through Red Hat 9

which player are you using for mp3 ? xmms ?

for the video, you can try VLC, mplayer, or xine.

I followed this to get MP3 and video to play on my RedHat 9 instalaltion.
