How to play encrypted WMV3 video file.

Hey guys,
I downloaded a WMV3 vidoe file from an online site(after paying for it). It was only after i downloaded it that i realised that the file is in a WMV3 format and is encrypted and will need me to enter a username and password(which was given to me) to play the file. Apparently this procedure can be done with Windows media player on windows...which I dont have.
Does anyone know how to play such a file from Linux...using mplayer or xine of Totem or VLC?
Thanks

you cant play it its DRM
(maybe) it will be introduced in the kernel sometime in the future
but i wouldn't hold my breath

your only alternative is win4lin and/or vmware
both commercial and somewhat expensive ($99 / $199)
get a win4lin trial and watch it for free
or a vmware trial to do the same (you will need heaps of ram for vmware tho)

wine does not handle DRM

another thing - please complain to the site - DRMs are sick
i know of a site that does that - they sell flash tutorials but
they dont deserve the publicity so i wont post here.

digital rights management

its one of the many attempts to make music and video files un-shareable

DRM (digital rights management) is some sort of copy protection stuff from MS on media files.
