How to open url's from thunderbird with browser

I'm a new thunderbird user, and quite enthousiastic about it. One feature I would like to use is the opening of URL's that are embodied in mail. At the moment I use copy and paste to firefox for viewing the web-page, but I think there will be a smarter way. Anyone a hint?

Edit the prefs.js under your profile. Add the following lines

user_pref("", "/usr/bin/opera");
user_pref("", "/usr/bin/opera");
user_pref("", "/usr/bin/opera");
Here i use opera for default browser with thunderbird. You could change that part with the path of your favourite browser.
