how to open files in /proc


i want to open a file in /proc , how can i.
i tried vi, cat , copying but was not able to open to see the contents!
anyone knows?

Edit: Do you have the right permissions to read the files in there? I thought you had to be root to read a lot of the files in there, I guess not.

ya, i already checked the permissions and was under root's privilage. i tried /proc/kcore !
