how to? need help

Hi folks,

I'm very new to SuSE and I finally managed to install suse on my notebook (HP nc6120), the version of OS is Novel SuSE 10.1.

The OS is running fine I think, having on mind that I'm win user for ages, and I understand so little on suse.

I managed to install LAMP on my suse by following tutorial from suse-wiki. I remember I installed a mysql client, but I have no idea on how to start this client? so how do I interact with the client ?! If someone could guide me on how to??

I need to start moving my development project from Win to SuSe, but I need to interact with mysql in order to continue working, and I dont know really how?
Is there any GUI client available for Linux that I can install on my SuSE? And any good php editor for SuSE?
I'm using Kedit by default, since I have no other.

Another issue is of my graphic card, my card was installed, but this card needs a special driver from Intel, how can I install that driver on SuSE?

How to I check the temperature of the processor on my notebook, I just want to inspect if everything is running fine? and by the way what is the allowed temp. ?

Thank you so much,
Fisnik

P.S. Do I put my web development files on home/username/public_html/

in terms of lamp, you don't use a mysql client. you certianly wouldn't "start" a client in this sense... you need to start the server instead, which is the part that php etc.. will directly interact with using standard php calls, so no mysql client is actually required in this instance. the client is more for manual database work and maintenance.
