How to make VLC stay in fullscreen while changing playlist items
 

Hi everyone,
I would like to know how to configure VLC not to leave fullscreen mode and not show the desktop between items in the playlist. What it does by default is it leaves fullscreen and goes into window mode while the next item is loading, showing the desktop, the window with controls, and then flashing back to fullscreen mode. I would like it to stay in fullscreen and not flash bright GUI items on the screen.
Any ideas?
