How to make a Gnome icon from a picture (jpeg file)?

Hi,

I have a picture (jpeg) taken with my digital camera that I would like to make it into an icon for Gnome. Does anyone know of any software that does this, or have info on how to do it?

You could use Gimp. reduce the size of the image and save as png.
