How to make a call and play a record?

Is there any way relatively easy to automatically (for example, a script) call a cellphone using a dialup modem, play a record and then hang up the call??

Thanks!

Modems typically do not have an interface to audio. The dial-out aspect is trivial, assuming the modem has dialing capability and is Hayes compatible, or similar.

You used to be able to dial out then pick up a phone so I guess this all could be done. It might be easier to use a pbx setup that runs on linux.

Some of this automated stuff is illegal in some States.
