How to lock down KDE 4.x?

First off, I would like to say that i have googled extensively, as well as searched these and other forums for the answer to this question. If I missed something, it wasn't for lack of trying... just me overlooking it.

I have been trying to use kiosktool to lock down the KDE desktop for use with LTSP. I have noticed that it appears that kiosktool has not been worked on since 2004, which was still in the world of KDE 3 or so. While this suggests they started working on it: http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/3907, I can't even find his build anywhere. I am using fedora 12 i686 with KDE 4.3.5. I have tried kiosktool as well as manually editing the lockdown files using various guides on the internet, but none of my settings seem to work. Also, kiosktool gives me a segfault when I try to open the dialog to bind a profile to users, but works when i try to bind to groups.

My question is: Are there any updated guides on how to lockdown kde for the 4.x series? Also, is there something like kiosktool or an updated kiosktool, just under a different name?

I had no trouble finding kiosktool for KDE 4.3.1 (Opensuse build). A few seconds further searching turned up a version for Fedora 12 (http://fr.rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/fedo...fc12.i686.html).

I suggest that i future, when searching for something GNU/Linux related, use www.google.com/linux, which filters out 99.9 % of the unrelated hits. It makes finding things quite a bit easier.

I'm not sure, but I think I did find this at some point and had the same error that I just had. When I try to download the .rpm, it says 550: Failed to Change Directory(in firefox). With wget, it says the directory does not exist. In any case, thanks for the google tip! I will go search more whilst using it.
