How to? Limit logout choices?

Running LinuxMint13 with the Xfce desktop, is there a way to limit the options that appear when you click Menu->Logout or push the power button (it pops up the same dialog)? I want to only have "Restart" and "Shutdown". I could even limit it to only "Shutdown" being allowed, which might be even better. I do not want choices for "Logout" or "Suspend" or "Hibernate" to be available.

This is for an elderly user who is easily confused. "Logout" is bad, because then you need your password to get back in (I have it set to automatically log them in in other circumstances). Remembering a password, especially the very secure one I set for their account, is a non-starter for this elderly person.

I could set the power button to always do a Shutdown without asking and that would take care of half of the problem. But you still have the Menu->Logout path that could lead a confused user astray.

This computer is severely restricted in what it can do. Play games mostly. And very simple games at that (Battleship, Reversi, Checkers, etc.) Email and a few websites (even those functions are sometimes beyond comprehension for the user, depending on the day).

Maybe replace the menu action widget (delete it?) with custom ones for restart and shutdown using:

Shutdown
Code:
dbus-send --print-reply --system --dest=org.freedesktop.Hal /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.SystemPowerManagement.Shutdown
Restart
Code:
dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest=org.freedesktop.Hal /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.SystemPowerManagement.Reboot
just an idea.
