How to know what shell I use?


Tell me How to know what shell I using?
I using Redhat 9, I login as root.

type "env" and you'll see your environment. SHELL= is what you're looking for and bash is common for a loginshell under linux. to use another: csh, osh, zsh,... you can change your loginshell with "chsh".
