How to know the disk position a process is acceding

The idea is the following:

I have a program which does a sequential low level read of all the disk. In order to debug it, is it possible to know the sectors this process is acceding in a point of time? I don't refer to the quantity of sectors, which I can know with 'iostat -x' utility, for example. I refer to the sector position on the disk.

For example, I execute 'sudo hdparm /dev/sda', which gives me the amount of sectors a disk has. Then I execute my program and would like to know if it's acceding to the #598 sector, the #2865 sector, the #8673 sector or any different.

Is there any program to know that?

Thank you in advance.

I'm not a programmer but maybe look for "lseek" syscall usage?
