how to join .mpg file?

do someone know how to join 2 or more .mpg files? any usefull applications for this problem?

Have you tried cat file1.mpg file2.mpg > filejoined.mpg ?

I'm fairly sure that won't work with .avi but have a feeling it *might* work with mpegs, worth a try if you haven't already.

I just tried it and it works for me as long as they're the same framerate and pixel frame size.
