You will need to install CUPS and then use the RH configuration set-up to use the bjc-1000 CUPS drivers.

I have MFC8500, not work on RH7.2, I check the 2 cd no cups
in them. So I go to
download redhat powerpack or powertool's cups
force nodeps install it
also install related package openssl on all cd1 and c2(7.2 standard boxed)
still not work

[root@eric c_program]# lpr hello.c
lpr: error - no default destination available.
[root@eric c_program]# lpq
lpq: Unable to contact server!

I already to install's come with mfc8300 laserjet driver
need your or any experienced user's help
