how to install open office 2.0?

hi,

i tried installing ooo2.0 from the official site. got as far as downloading the linux file, extracting it, and typing: rpm -Uvih *rpm per the instructions on the download page. now that that's done, how do i run 2.0? clicking on the icons brings up v 1.15 that had come w/ mandriva 2006. what am i missing? thanks. installation was really quick...like 2-3 minutes...so i'm not sure if it was really installed. just see a bunch of rpms.

You should have uninstalled version 1.15 first. In the directory containing the OOo2 rpms, there is a subdirectory called desktop-integration. Inside that subdirectory there is an rpm for OOo Mandriva menus. You need to install that and OOo2 will appear in the menu.
