how to install mandrake and gentoo?

if I have mandrake installed and I want to install gentoo with the remaining space, can i just use the same swap drive and boot drive for both? Because all the boot drive has on it is LILO or GRUB, right?

This is an x86 system.

Thanks for the help.

I use these filesystems in common for different distros:

/boot
swap
/home (make sure user and group numbers are the same in different distros as they can default to different ones)
/pub
/mnt/win2k
/mnt/fat32
