How to install Linux on DOS 6.2 machine?

I have recently cleaned up an old Pentium III 450 Mhz machine and only reinstalled it with DOS 6.22.
There are two two partitions of 2.7Gb and 2.9Gb.
The only OS in the machine is now only DOS.
What are the suggestions for really installing this machine solely for Linux?
I have gone through Linux format but there is no mention of such an installation.

Any help appreciated.

Does the computer have a CD-ROM drive? If so most distros will boot off the CD right into the installation. If you need more details or have a specific question let us know.
