How to install kernel source ~ Red Hat Server 5

I just did a clean install of Red Hat Server 5 and went to install ndiswrapper and got this error complaining about KBuild not being there. Someone suggesting installing kernel development. The weird thing is if I goto /usr/src the folder is empty.

Is this why I'm not able to compile programs? and if so how to do I fix this. I looked on my 5 cd's but I couldn't anything that looked like a development rpm.

Please help

It would more than likely be named kernel-devel. Is ndiswrapper not available as an rpm on your cd's? That would be the better way to install it. Installing it from an rpm should resolve any dependencies.

One of them should at least contain a load of rpms that can be added. If you are using a gui on your server, try using your package manager to locate which disc the kernel-devel is likely to be on. You could always try and get it from rpm.pbone: http://rpm.pbone.net/
